AVALON EVENTS CENTER FIVE STAR REVIEW

Cake or work of art?
Roses and cake on a lace top
No matter how you look at it.....
I have listened to my readers and am changing the format for this blog.   FIRST....but there might be many firsts......Last night's wedding was incredible.   I know that weddings are usually predictable, bride, groom, wedding and party.   But let's just add a taste of elegance and fun and local ingenuity....yes....and the AVALON EVENTS CENTER in Fargo.   The planning for this event was impeccable.   The cake was incredible (Nichole's Fine Pastry).   The meal's ingredients were incredibly respected, green beans that were prepared to be to the perfect crispness FOR EVERYONE (haricots verts that were actually verts and not brown), potatoes that were also not overly seasoned with garlic or salt so they remained the backdrop to the meal.   The coffee was classic scandinavian (light looking but packed a caffeine punch) and with the lemon flavored cake (which was melt in your mouth delicate), was a perfect after dinner dessert.   The open bar even had my favored array of nonalcoholic beverages, so I could enjoy the evening, dancing and food and still maintain my status as designated driver.
Every table setting was
unique, plants were
real, candles floating
in water, gave this
a delicate well thought
out look.

I haven't even gotten to the dance floor, you can see the light reflecting on the wooden ....  yes, natural wood....floors.   Perfect for heels or flats, jumping twirling, hip hop, country, and .......? Bieber....yes it all worked.   The bridal dance was .....   like the couple ......   beautiful.

Oh, and the back drop to the bridal party's table was a set of soft lights behind a lace curtain, soft lights and candles everywhere.  High ceilings, tuscan yellow paint......all lovely.

Wholesome food, tastefully prepared
and visually appealing
I love it when the ingredients are so
incredible you don't have to hide
them in sauces, salt or ashes....

The back drop to a lovely group, intimate feel, soft
inviting and careful, like the people who put it together

You can see how the candles
acted to pick up the softness
of the lighting, atmosphere and
if you were there....the people
Take it from the top
The bridal bouquets

Start to appreciate the overall
lighting
What's behind the array of flowers?

Answer:  A dance floor
ready for everyone.
Lovely venue for a wedding reception/dinner/dance.   Look at what I enjoyed.  I have been in the space on several occasions and they all flooded back to me as I was able to enjoy a beautiful time with lovely friends, new friends, and family.
